About

davidmantek_familyDavid Mantek lives and works in West Ashley in Charleston, South Carolina.  David and his wife Danielle are the owners and operators of Mantek Properties, LLC. and have worked in the West Ashley area remodeling and renovating single family and multi-family homes as well as commercial properties.  Mantek Properties, LLC. has received a variety of awards including first place in the “Clean Cities Sweep Great American Cleanup” in 1999 and 2000 as well as the “Captains Pride Award” in 2008 for their efforts in fixing up low-income areas that were previously ridden with crime and drug activity.  The Manteks made each area safer by introducing surveillance cameras, extra lighting and more security.

David Mantek puts taking care of his family and giving back to the community before anything else.  He is a member of the West Ashley Rotary Club and is a board member of the Rotary Scholarship Fund, a fund that is managed through Morgan Keegan.  The scholarship fund is for area high schoolers with an expressed interest in attending a university in South Carolina, who consistently perform phenomenally in academics and participate in service oriented programs with hopes to enrich the community.  David also co-chairs the rotary’s main fundraising event and has done so since 2005.

David also received the “Citizen of the Year” award from the City of Charleston presented by Chief Mullen for his work with Team 4 of the Charleston Police Department which included the use of surveillance camera’s on several properties that reduced drug trafficking and resulted in two wanted felons being captured.

He was also chosen as the “Homegrown Hero” in March of 2010 by Natural Awakenings, a local magazine, for his fair and ethical treatment towards his tenants and his efforts in remodeling low-income neighborhoods.

David Mantek and his wife Danielle also keep in touch with their community by managing Bull Creek Peninsula Home Owners Association which is a neighborhood with 15 homes  known as  Bull Creek Peninsula.  He and his wife do everything from mowing the lawn to replacing mailboxes and David finds it rewarding because their family can keep the neighborhood close by gathering together annually.

While real estate is David Mantek’s main passion he also enjoys hiking, fishing, flying, and spending time with his wife and two boys Jacob and Grant.
